Dr. Taiwo Ehineni is a Preceptor of African Languages in the Department of African and African American Studies at Harvard University. His research focuses on African linguistics, Yoruba language and culture, and language pedagogy. He has published extensively in journals such as Language Matters, Journal of African Languages and Cultures, and Stellenbosch Papers in Linguistics. His most recent book is Yoruba Names: Language, Culture, and History (Routledge, 2025). Dr. Ehineni is also a Yoruba language consultant for the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and serves on the Executive Board of the African Languages Teachers Association.
